Establishment

The plant, with a processing capacity of over 3.500 tons/day, is located in the municipality of Maccastorna in the province of Lodi, within the Adda Sud Park.

The plant covers 135.000 square meters, of which about 27.000 are covered, and has been entirely designed in order to rationalize production flows and processes according to hygienic, energy and production requirements.

This makes it possible to have a state-of-the-art transformation process in compliance with environmental sustainability.

The technological lines dedicated to juices, purees and concentrates are composed of:

  • 4 optical selectors
  • Cold/hot/warm break enzymatic deactivation systems
  • Group of turbo-refiners with innovative machines with adjustment of the revolutions and the inclination axis of the blades
  • Venus® evaporation plants with a total evaporation capacity of over 100,000 litres of evaporated water/hour
  • 3 pasteurization, cooling and aseptic filling lines with a capacity of 40 t/hour

The technological systems adopted are of recent and advanced conception and allow constant and continuous monitoring of the process parameters to ensure the quality of the productions.

The control of the process and flows also allows the traceability of all production phases and processed raw materials.

The computerized bar-code coding system, provided on finished products, allows the necessary traceability information to be transferred to customers.

The technological lines for the production of pulp and diced meats consist of:

  • 2 thermophysical peelers
  • 4 dicing machines with variable cut from 10x10 to 19x19 mm
  • 7 innovative optical sorters
  • 6 metal detectors
  • 6 dosing groups of ingredients for pH correction and salt additions
  • 4 pasteurization, cooling and aseptic filling units with a total capacity of 55 t/h
  • 2 pasteurization lines (ohmic technology), cooling and aseptic packaging in flexible bags of 5 and 10 kg for pulps and diced, purees and pizza sauce (total capacity 18 t/hour)
  • 1 aseptic filling line for 5, 10 or 15 kg bag-in-boxes. complete with check weighing, and carton packaging
  • 2 Carton packaging lines for bag-in-box complete with check weigher and x-ray machines.
